Initial Draft Paper Submission

Prospective authors should submit a draft paper of 4 to 6 pages in length, including figures, tables and references. The style adopted should be the IEEE double-column conference style. The manuscript should report the scope of the paper and the primary results and findings, emphasizing new advances, theories and/or applications so thaht the program committee will be able to understand the originality and the value of the work. to register and present the work if the paper is accepted for presentation at the conference.

Authors should submit their draft manuscripts by 31 March 2018 (Hard deadline)  15 April 2018, by using the EDAS submission system.

Submit your Full Paper through EDAS

Manuscripts will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee. Authors of accepted full papers must submit the final paper version according to the deadline, register for the workshop, and attend to present their papers. The maximum length for final papers is 6 pages without exceptions.

For your convenience, the IEEE and Conference in various formats are available.

**High-quality papers that are accepted and presented will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by EI/Compendex.

Generate the pdf version of the final paper

An electronic version of the final manuscript must be generated for the conference proceedings.
From the final manuscript formatted as instructed above, authors must generate the electronic version in PDF format. Regardless of its initial format, the file containing the final version of the paper must be transformed in the PDF format using the IEEE PDF eXpress web tool. PDF files generated by means of other tools are not acceptable.

To generate the IEEE Xplore compatible PDF file of your paper, follow these steps:
Create your IEEE PDF eXpress account by going to: http://www.pdf-express.org
and using Conference ID: 44588X

The first time you access the system, please follow the link to New user. Please note that, in order to access the service, you need to allow the use of cookies from the PDF eXpress web site. Once you have registered as a new user:
- upload the source file (containing your paper) for conversion
- receive by e-mail the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF of your paper.

Author Registration

Each lead author must visit the EDAS web site and establish an account with a username and password.

  1. Visit the EESMS 2018 Submission Portal and click the link to create a new account, if you do not already have an account. If you have an account, log in to EDAS and follow the Submission of Full Paper instructions.
  2. Create your profile. Only the five fields with the red asterisk are required. *It is very important that your name and affiliation associated with your EDAS account are correct and match the name and affiliation that will be listed on your paper. These fields are first & last name, affiliation (company or organization), country, e-mail address, and status. When the fields are filled in, check the Privacy Policies box and click the Add Person button. [note: if you select USA as the country, you will get a message asking for your state]
  3. You will receive an e-mail containing your password. Your email address and the given password must later be used to access the system during the following steps, so be careful to remember it.
  4. You can then return to the EDAS log-in page and change your assigned password to one that is easier to remember. To do this, click on the My Profile tab, and then click on change your password. Be sure to record your user name, password and ID number for later reference.

Submission of Full Paper

Please login at http://edas.info and follow these steps:

  1. Click here to be taken to the EESMS 2018 Submission Portal
  2. Type in the title of your initial submission and select the topic area your paper falls under best. [note: This will help in choosing the reviewers. The PDF of your initial submission will be uploaded later]
  3. Click the Submit button.
  4. On the next page you will see a large green check mark and a statement that the paper was recorded.
  5. Manuscript is used to refer to the PDF form of your initial submission.
  6. The last row says Review Manuscript, and has an icon of a yellow folder next to it. Click on this icon, and then you can upload the PDF of your Full Paper on the next page.
  7. You can also upload the paper by clicking the My Papers tab at the top of the screen, and then select the upload icon on the same row as the name of your paper. The upload icon (third column from the right) will open a dialog box that will enable you to select and upload the Full Paper file via the web or via FTP.

IEEE Copyright Notice

If authors would like to post their papers electronically on any web site, any ftp site, or any other electronic dissemination technique, they must include the IEEE Copyright notice on the initial screen displaying the IEEE-copyrighted material.

Oral Presentations

The duration of a presentation slot is 20 minutes. You will have 15 minutes for the presentation itself and 5 minutes for questions from the audience

DEADLINES

  • 16 April 2018: acceptance/rejection notification
  • 15 May 2018: final manuscript submission (and registration before 24 May 2018)
  • 24 May 2018: early registration
